The hotel is very beautiful, both the decoration and the outside area, the restaurant is pleasant and the service is friendly. But during Goat Week we ordered 4 menus, for two adults and two children (8 and 11 years old), and the quantity was insufficient even for the children's hunger. The chef was kind enough to add fries to the children's goats, but we had to order a children's chicken dish to complement it, and split it between the two of us. It was tasty but had more bones than meat. The drink included was served in a glass, from PET bottles, not 1 can per person as in other participating restaurants. We were really disappointed. We had an excellent experience at Restaurante Gavius. The traditional Portuguese food was divine, very well presented and the dishes were delicious. For children, there was a children's menu with equally tasty options. During dinner we enjoyed a beautiful view of the garden and ambient music. The service was also excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant to all families looking for an authentic and welcoming meal in the Coimbra district.
