Quando for ver Pinhao Railways Station, vá até este restaurante. Restaurante Bomfim 1896 with Pedro Lemos serve pratos das culinárias Mediterrânea e Portuguesa. Sempre dá pra degustar vieiras ótimas, carne bovina bom e peixe saboroso - uma oferta especial desse lugar. Peça um bom vinho servido aqui.

We were a party of 6. 1 of us wanted the tasting menu, we were told we would need 3 or more to get tasting menu. 2 more in our party said ”OK we’ll get the tasting menu.” THEN, was told it has to be 4 or more. One more in our party said “OK, I’ll get it, too.” When we told the waitress “Ok, we have 4 people for the tasting menu.” She said “No, it has to be the whole table.” Nowhere on the menu, does it say that the whole table has to order the tasting menu or no one can. We kept bending to meet their criteria. They did NOTHING in return. Clearly the staff needs educating. Not once did a manager come to the table to try to make things right. Did I mentioned we ordered $170 bottle of champagne plus a bottle of white wine and a bottle of red wine? Still, no one tried to make the customer experience better. Was really looking forward to this Michelin star restaurant but was highly disappointed by the way they handled or, should I say, didn’t handle the situation. Restaurant looks Very Nice and the service was great. Food was good too. I absolutely loved my starter but my main was a bit dry for my taste. I got the wild boar and some parts were very soft but the majority was chewy and dry, I never had that meat before so I'm not sure if it's the meat, even though two smalls bits were very soft... The rest wasn't... Dessert was divine. My husband ordered shrimp for starters and even though it looks good, amazing presentation, I found a pain in the a.. to take the skin off a shrimp. His main was amazing. Meat was melting. Check our photos!!! I highly recommend the restaurant, just wouldn't recommend the wild boar. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
