We had dinner in April during a walking tour of Portugal undertaken for my 60th birthday with my two daughters. The restaurant was near our hotel and our dinner there was my favorite of our whole trip. We all had different dishes and each of us loved our meals. If you are lucky enough to be in this area, definitely visit! A superlative lunch spot: perched high on the bank overlooking the rivers and the ‘Old Roman Bridge’, the ambience, cuisine and welcome all match up to the stunning setting. Our risottos of shrimp and salmon both melted in the mouth while the deserts rounded off a memorable meal.
